Theres a few smaller graveyards in afghanistan. soviets just up and left a lot of equipment. Old trains, tanks, armored vehicles, AA guns. Cheaper to leave it than ship it back

That's crazy to think stuff is just up and left like that. Isn't there a market for scrap metal in these countries? China is always buying scrap metal....

One a side note -- I wonder how many people see what appears to be reactive explosive armor still left on the tanks? I wonder what else is laying around??? Yikes...
