8-10 week backorder when I placed my order...now they added an additional 8-10 weeks. New orders have a 4-5 month backorder.

Yeah I am old enough to know better. Thing is, I just don't care.

People have completely replaced regular food with Soylent but I'm interested in consuming it when I can't be bothered to grab carry-out or hassle with making a regular meal. It's certainly healthier than fast food.

I ordered a 7 day supply (21 meals) delivered monthly. I may double this depending on how my body reacts to it. I'm planning to supplement this with protein powder to fuel my workouts.

Soylent won't replace "social" meals for me...just an easy way to get the proper nutrition at a reasonable cost for breakfast and at night when I don't have plans to go out during the week.

For a quicker alternative (not sure on cost vs Soylent) you could just add protein powder and maybe water to something like Naked Green Machine juice. I drink things like the Naked juices and Kefir since I'm so bad about eating good stuff...

The ingredient list looks much better than what hospitals use (Ensure) for patients. That stuff is water mixed with corn starch and sugar, with some milk+soy protein and soybean oil tossed in. Nasty.

(Serious) If you just had a liquid diet, would you still poop?

ALL MY HEROES ARE RUSSIAN...GO CAPS!

Well you see, Norm, itís like thisÖA herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.-Cliff Claven

You're going to have some serious issues if you're not getting fiber so I'm sure this soylent stuff has that. Fiber means poop.
