Speeding ticket - October 16, 2008, 12:51 PM

I got pulled over today in my car 73 in a 55. Here is the kicker though. It was on the beltway. Are they allowed to pull cars over on the beltway?

Yes police can pull you over anywhere they want. Was it a trooper, county or city?

now that was funny!

Why would even think that a cop couldn't pull you over on the beltway? Then would that make the speed limit signs just a suggestion? Sucks you got popped for 73 though.

County. It was a joke being that it was the beltway. I know that they can pull cars over.

If you have a descent driving record you will be fine, just pay the fine. If not start looking for a place to take the class.

Never just pay the fine. If your record is ok go to court and at your time to talk say " I would ask the court for leniency siting my (good, decent, ok) driving record and the fact it was during rush hour and I was going with the flow of traffic" Wear a VT polo shirt and hope for a reduction in charge to "failair to abay a highway sign".
