Speeding Ticket & Remedial Fee question - November 25, 2007, 06:44 AM

I got picked up for 72 in a 55 on Route 7 early this AM and was written a ticket for violating law section 46.2.870 (A#### - 5) I can't tell what letters the # signs are. I'm unable to find it on the fee schedule so does that mean that the fees don't apply or is there some sort of catch all that will get me?

My plan is to get 2 extensions, take the online drivers thing for the 5 points, get my speedo calibrated and talk to the prosecuter. I hope it works.

Not 20 over, it's just a moving offense, not a misdameanor. Fees don't apply.

State PoPo.

I let him know that I had a concealed weapon in the car when he walked up, was corteous, respectful, and honest with him, and I even dropped that I worked for DHS but no dice. He came back up and said that the drive from Winchester to Arlington should be punishment enough... here's your ticket I don't want to hold you up any longer. Thanks for telling me about the gun as I had already seen it (he musta had xray vision!) blah blah blah.

Ya win some & ya loose some.

I got tagged on the way to All-Sport on Sunday 71 in a 45

In my FJ towing a bike of all things...I was happy when he didn't write me a wreckless so I'll probably talk to a lawyer and see what he/she recommends...worst case I'll pay the fine and take the class. This was my first speeding ticket ever!

I didn't realized the speedlimit at the 28/66 intersection was only 45mph I was passing a truck and didn't realize how fast I was going until I looked over and saw the FFX cop on the side then I was like fack...oddly enough he was actually cool about it. I was very respectful and he said he could have written me a wreckless but only wrote it as a normal speeding ticket so I was happy about that. I think the fee is only around $200
$5.00 for every mph over 26 x 5 = $130 + 62 processing fee + 11 fee? = 203 compared to wreckless + 3000...5 or 6 points (minus my 5 positive points) will mean 1 point so the class will help with that. Guess I'll see what the lawyer says and go from there. Careful out there peeps.

When he ran your plate after pulling you over he would have noticed the concealed weapon permit.
