Speeding and Tickets and FML - May 27, 2009, 02:07 PM

So I just heard about this FML website last night...still haven't checked it out yet.

Anyways since I'm on that subject....

It was in a neighborhood adjacent to mine, I go "that" way all the time...used to walk, skateboard/rollerblade, ride my bike, drive my car and I have NEVER seen a police. Well I just happend to go through at lunch time and obviously it's a stakeout area during the noontime hours!!!!

In my truck any tap of acceleration is going to be multiplied just by the momentum rolling down a hill. So going down a hill a 20/25mph roll with slight gas pedal maintenance can turn into an easy 44mph. As I crested the hill I began to brake...but ever so gently not to spill the chinese food carryout PLUS WONTON SOUP that sat in the passagner seat. As a reached outside ways to stop the soup from spilling over, and a bottle of root beer from rolling off the seat onto the floor as I planned to drink it within the 5 minutes of pulling into my driveway....I notice an odd person standing next to an unmarked all black crusier....okay, brake harder...hold soup harder...damn too late. He was already walking into the middle of the road.

Anyways 44 in a 25 turned into Failure to Obey Higway Sign...so I went from $157 and about 6 points to $92 and 3 points....

FML.

I think it just may be cyclical....because the last time I had more than two tickets in a year was 2003....pretty quite in 2006 except a seatbelt violation and tinted widow violation....'09 speeding and now a disobey sign.
