Squirrel Pain - July 8, 2011, 09:45 AM

We have these damn squirrels that keep eating out of our neighbors bird feeder on their deck. Then they are coming over to our deck and shitting all over the place and they ate our strawberry plants

Short of borrowing a .22(Does anyone have one I can borrow?)

What deters squrrels? We already tried cayan pepper and they are out there eating it, they just started eating it though so maybe they will get diahrea and not come back lol

But seriously loan me a .22, my 9mm will make to much noise lol

My girlfriend won't let me trap them, but she is getting pretty pissed, she might let me shoot them

It's war baby

Also, a .22 is a bit overkill (no pun intended) to get rid of a squirrel off your back porch. How close are your neighbors? .22s make plenty of noise too. Not only that, but who knows where that bullet will go if you live in one of those neighborhoods with houses 15 feet apart. Or attached/back to back townhomes. Just go to walmart and buy a cheap bb gun. More than enough to "get rid of" a squirrel.

she lives in a townhouse the backs up to the woods, she is the end unit and I think the squirrels come up her stairs and cross over her deck to the neighbors deck to get the birdfood, I am liking the bb gun idea

OMG that launcher is so fucking funny. Im not for hurting animals but that is a very effective way of removing rodents. That is unless the rodent is and adrenalin junky

Put little outfits on the squirrels that make them look like Laurel & Hardy, grease the pole the neighbors bird feeder sits on and sit back and tape the ensuing show. Then do a voice over on the vid and go win Funnest Videos or whatever is out there and move.

Or just shoot the little buggers with a BB gun and deep fry them. They make a nice snack between meals.

350 fps, yeah that should do it depending on how close you are. Aim just behind their ears. Or, get this one and completely remove their heads:

Walmart.com: Remington Air Master .177: Hunting

CO2 Pellet rifle will take them out if you good shot. If not they will suffer.

How is the bird feeder positioned? If you dont hook the bird feeder directly to the mount and instead use thin rope/yarn to attach it to the mount (about a ft in length) the squirrels have a very hard time on that. you can alos ad in wire spokes on the rope to improve it.

Baffles work too. Flat pieces of metal sheeting above and below the feeder. If i remember right they should stick out about 15 inchs.

they basically have the plate of birdseed laying on their railing, so I cant baffle it, it is their birdfeeder, and they are Korean or something and dont speak English, worthless pieces of shit ha, so I can't talk to them

She has cats but they would take off if we let them outside

I am trying to convince her to let me shoot them

The thing is, if they are putting seed down, the squirrels are just going to keep coming. Not much you can do about. Unless you want to sit out there killing squirrels every day. I would just sneak out there at night and push the plate off the porch. They will think the squirrels knocked it over.
