Stress - May 14, 2009, 09:13 AM

Anybody been so stressed out lately that they just got physically sick?....

like one day I'm perfectly fine....the next day I find out my bike is done with from a cause unrealted to me riding it...the next day I have 100 degree temperatures, chills, sore throat....

well it was either that or drinking the wine out of the communinon cup at the funeral I went to yesterday....I'll never do that again....ever.

Happen to you?

Is your bike done?

Stress can wreck havoc on your immune system. So yeah, while being stressed itself does not make you sick, it opens the door.

That in combination with who-knows-what was on that communion cup is probably why you got something.

Well the clutch is DEFINITELY done...

BUT IN ADDITION TO THAT....he screwed up the TRANSMISSION. That's why when I tought the brakes were grabbing while the bike was up on the stand in neutral after about two revolutions....nope....it was metal grinding inside...remember all those pops/ticks we heard.

So pretty much to fix it the motor has to be removed and opened up etc....essentially way beyond what I want to pay to have the bike repaired right now.....

I'm going to get it back today or friday and pull the clutch. Just need someone to look at the transmission b/c I don't know what to look for...

Do you have a place to pull it all apart at?

Transmissions really aren't all that complicated so if you can buy whatever parts are needed, I can help you put it all back together.

I was a complete basket case at two points in my life: when we moved my mother to hospice care in 2001 and when I was finishing my dissertation in 2004. I'm not looking forward to the next time.

yeah I have some garage space , but it's not ideal b/c I keep the bike infront of a car....where ever it comes apart is where it's gonna stay...and that space is tight. Both cars have to be able to get out of the garage. I do have plenty of friends who would be more than willing to let me use their storage units to store and work on the bike.

Once I get the bike back and the clutch pulled out it should give me enough time to figure out which direction I want to go with this....
