SD card slot is huge. Makes it possible to take the tablet somewhere, say - the track, and test a short video to see how ur new camera angle looks.

and HDMI. "hey joe, just throw that movie that you made on ur tablet and head over so we can all watch it"

Tablet wars are the new cellphone wars.

I really dig the Asus slider. I'm interested to see what the 2nd gen one will look like.

I don't know shit about the tablets but I think it's funny how Google has beat Microsoft at its own game.

Back in the day you decided first if you want an Apple PC or a Microsoft Windows PC. If you chose Apple then you picked one from 6-10 models. If you chose MS then you had to pick one from the dozens of companies in the field and their dozens of models each (hundreds of overwhelming options).

Now it's the same with tablets and phones except Google has taken Microsoft's place.

The only way they could have possibly gotten 14 hrs is by shoving two batteries inside of it, which begs the question - how much does it weigh?

I don't think there's any extra charm in the battery over better power management. I'm sure there's no way you can pull 14 hours of use if you're utilizing the cpu to it's full potential. The big thing these days are offering a core that can use as little power as possible with simple tasks while still offering the 'powerhouse' ability when needed.

I would guess that weight is similar to that of the ipad.
