Tandem Skydive Jumps - July 17, 2006, 07:57 AM

Anyone here ever been? I'm thinking about doing this during vacation and I'm wondering if anyone has used any of the places in the area?

I can take anyone on a tandem jump.

I used to go to Wallace, NC and jump all the time. I am still certified.

I've been tandem skydiving and it is simply awesome. I went with Skydive Westpoint and the guys there were nice and seemed to know what they were doing... overall a very awesome time

If someone is jumping tandem with you, wouldn't they be facing the same risks as you? Finding a jumper who values his/her own life can't be that difficult... Add some experience with packing chutes, and I'd feel safer letting that person do it than I would myself (with no experience).

Although I can't say I've gone, but I came really close. I had a trip all lined up, deposits made and everything. In fact the entire group was going to do Accelerated Free Fall (no one attached except each diver had 2 instructors along with you to help/guide you).

I looked into Orange as well as this other company http://www.skydivingcenter.net/index.htm
and I can tell you that Chambersburg Skydiving Center had top quality customer service. We had a person in our group get into a motorcycle accident and they really helped us out on the deposit because of the circumstances.

Tandem skydiving is phenomenal. I went in college during a spring break trip to Skydive Deland in Deland, FL (I went to school in Daytona Beach). It was a blast, and we got a video taken as well as still photos taken of the whole experience. I highly recommend it to anyone, especially people with a fear of heights.

As an instructor with Av-Ed Flight School in Leesburg, we have a customer who rents an airplane from us every other week and goes down and skydives at Skydive Orange. He swears by the school, and I have heard nothing but good things.
