Tattoo Artist recommendation. - April 6, 2013, 07:11 PM

So looking to get some more work done.

Anyone have a good guy or gal?

Quality of work is more important than price to me.

Gracias

Was it lottery or inheritance? You just got a Rolex, "won" a new Ducati, and now want ink where money isn't the issue? Hmm.

Get on my level, Son.

When I buy the new Stingray in May/June you're really gonna get your panties in a bunch.

Either way, you're very smart or very lucky!

Decide on what you're looking for before you go looking for an artist.

Looking for a good tattoo artist.. ok great.. good at what? Realism? B&W? Color? Japanese? Flash/ cartoon style? Gargoyles and dragons and shit?

I've known a bunch of good artists.. each one has their specialty.

I am looking for someone too that can do bands on upper arms/shoulders. I am looking put dates on and look cool but not like the common tribal bands. Minimal color. Anyone in dc area people would suggest? I think these are pretty simple.

Maybe some touch up work too on older ink, I am not sure how easy that will be.

My wife has had several tatoos done by James Marlowe several years ago (before he opened this shop). I can't speak for his employees but his work is excellent. I suspect that if it's his name over the door they're good.

I'm not a tattoo person at all, but my friend Lee in Ellicott City is very talented and does tattoos full time. He's always busy, and his work is top notch.

Boomchic sent me his way. Got an outline done last month, going back in tomorrow for the shading/coloring.
