Time for a new bike.. BMW? - April 15, 2006, 10:23 PM

So in the crash and burn section I posted that a kid rear ended my sv1000, and it's a total loss. I'm thinking about a BMW R1150 as a replacement. I'm not a racer. Just a joy ride and occasional commute. I'd love a KTM Super Duke. But 15k's out of my budget...

Basically, I'd like a naked twin that I can make loud as hell, is fun to ride in town our out on the highway and doesn't get lost.. At least a 750..

Thoughts?

Any thoughts about a newish bmw r1150 vs Ducati s2r1000 .. I like that that bmw has the opposed twin which makes valve work easier.. Have any of you ridden these? Which would have a softer ride? I think the bmw.

After all my bruised self needs to take it easy...

Jessie, you know Tom is selling his duke. Also, saw a bike today that you may need. It's your style. E-mail me.

If not the Duke, you gotta go with this:
