Doubling the hops again would be quadruple the normal amount. Unless they mean double hops as a marketing term?
Maybe try some? I'm aware of why and how it got its name.

Everyone's palate is different but I used to hate IPAs, now I love them. But again I don't feel DIPAs taste horrible. Obviously there are some that taste bad, but the same could be said for a hefe, pilsner, wheat, porter, stout... Etc

Agreed. Personally my preference from best to least favorite is DIPA > IPA > TIPA

All IPAs are not created the same. A Sam Adams Rebel IPA is VERY different from a Stone IPA which is drastically different than something from Trillum, Aslin, or Monkish.

Heist, you should give a small batch IPA a try and you may have a better experience.

Dogfishhead 90 Minute IPA is the first IPA that I've liked, and that only mildly. I've tried a wide range, and I'm not averse to trying more, but none have really struck me as enjoyable. I do want to get my hands on some Pliny The Elder - I hear its quite good, and there are a few from Mumford Brewing in California and Tree House that I would like to try out.
