I need to get a couple more. I was silly for not buying 2 or 3 when I had the chance...long gone now at Total Wine.

Nah in all seriousness I am in a beer group on fbk and they posted about it and I went there and they had 4 bottles on the shelf, I got them all.

It was harris teeter 1201 First St NE, Constitution Square, Washington, DC 20002 parking wasn't horrible for street, not sure they have anymore since I took what they had out but it was on an endcap and not much room for more than 4.

I get it's bourbon county, but the Barley wine is the worst variant imo. It's just meh to me. It sat on the shelves here in CO for weeks after the OG and coffee were sold in hours. I will say though, let them age, I feel like a fresh BCBW is has too much lingering alcohol, however when aged it really smooths it out.

Lately i've been drinking a lot of Melvin IPA's, I don't think they distribute much past CO, but if you have a chance to pick them up I strongly suggest it. I really like their RIIPA (rotating Imperial Ipa) collection so far. Some of the best IPA's i've had in a long while.

I'm going to let them age, I love the other variants and I did manage to get a taster draft of BCBW at Smoke and Barrel and it was boozy for sure, which aging should mellow out a bit.

The same could be said about a lot of beers that people rave about, personally I like trying new brews and these were not overly $$ so no harm no foul if they are not that great.

Melvin is coming to VT soon....not exactly local but at least on the east coast.
