traffic 495OL WB/270NB - March 14, 2011, 12:01 PM

hey question for those who frequent these roads....495OL WB from 95 to 270, and then 270NB....hows the traffic in the early morning and late morning? i was gonna run my kawi gas tank out to Looper service Center in rockville this week, yet its been a bit since ive hit 495OL WB. i have to be back in AACo by 330 for work, so i was wondering when is an optimum time frame to make the run. with the way i drive it'll 45-60 mins each way anyway.

During rush hour, traffic gets heavy between 95 and 495 there. Should lighten up after Georgia ave though from what ive seen. 270N should be good at that time, but I've only ridden it as far as Democracy Blvd in the morning.

Your heaviest traffic will probably be coming back eastbound on 495 before Georgia ave. That's always heavy, morning and night.

If you hit it earlier, you'll catch 270S and 495E inner loop at peak rush hour coming back which are often dead stopped then. I'd wager on 10 or 11.

Although, I'd say if you can be back on the inner loop before 8, probably not bad.

270 NB anytime after 330 is backed up. 495 WB is best after 10.
