i sucked down Marlboro Reds like they were pixie sticks for 10 years. It's all in your mind. If you truly want to quit, you will. I hope you stepped down tho. I went from reds, to mediums, to lights then smoked ultra lights for a year, then quit cold turkey in 2002. Smoking is dumb so i wish you luck.

You can do it man. Buddy of mine took him three tries before he quit for good.
And don't listen to folks who start in with well my grand pappy smoked all his life and lived til old age. May be true but everyone I know that has quit has felt much better physically after quiting. That's a huge plus.

i wish you luck! when i quit i found the hardest part was getting over the habit of smoking. after a meal, while driving, just before bed, etc. the addiction part lasted about 3 days, but breaking the habit took weeks. try to mix up your routine, do whatever it takes to break the habit.

Much as it sounds like bullshit.. david636 is right.. I smoked on and off for 15 years... the day I finally *decided* to quit. I quit.

You'll feel so much better in such a short amount of time.. it is crazy. A year later, you'll have no idea how you ever did it.

Good luck man, full support from the north!

*sigh*
