TV Help - January 8, 2013, 10:25 PM

Well our Sony finally took a bit of a crap. I recently noticed that our 55'' Sony rear projection TV started to get a green tint in the picture. So I picked up the remote and tried to adjust to picture to no avail... Well, I did next what any responsible adult would do and googled it. Basically, apparently, its a known issue with this type of TV that the optical block takes a shit over time. Great!

Anyone know any good deals on any 55''-60'' HDTVs out there? I don't care if its a plasma, or led. If it's led I do prefer it being 120HZ+ and keep it under a grand if possible. Thanks!

Go!

If you can wait until after the Superbowl, you will have two factors working to your favor:
(1) CES will have ended. They're in Vegas right now showcasing the 2013 models. After CES, all the retailers start marking down their TVs inventory to clear the distribution pipe and make room for the incoming 2013's

(2) After the Superbowl, amoral buyers who bought a big screen TV solely for the big game, take advantage of the no-hassle return policy and send them back. Open box TVs can't be sold as New Stock and are marked down 10-15%.

“Any man who tries to be good all the time is bound to come to ruin among the great number who are not good. Hence a Prince who wants to keep his authority must learn how not to be good, and use that knowledge, or refrain from using it, as necessity requires”.

Already ordered it but that's some good info. I won't get it for about a week thanks to it being out of stock everywhere. I didn't want to miss the chance.

I saw a few of those too. I thought about going up in size but honestly the 55 is even too big for our living arrangement. And this comes with 3 HDMI cables which was a must for me. Most of the sub grand tvs come with only two for some reason

With Turk, 2 just isn't enough. He needs some 3rd input action to make him happy.

Just keep an eye out on dealnews.com. TV's roll through there on the cheap all the time.
