UltraStart U1272-PRO and REMOTE START IN GENERAL - March 10, 2011, 11:19 AM

My factory keyless entry remote is DEAD. Tried to replace battery. No dice. Even tried to reprogram remote with a new battery...no dice.

So I went to Advance Auto for a new remote...they didn't have any BUT they had a remote start for $80. So I called the dealer JUST for a remote and they charge $80 just for keyless remote!!!!

That made for a snowball of a thought and I decided WHY NOT just buy a remote starter????

Best Buy/Chains- $200 + extra parts ($100 Bypass)
Speciality Shops-$250 +extra parts ($100 Bypass)
Amazon/Ebay-$50-$70 + extra parts ($60 Bypasss) SELF INSTALL...

I need HELP...I don't know what is what. I've identified the remote start system I want to buy...but I don't know what I need to be looking for in a bypass module. I want my truck to do everything it does now PLUS add remote start to the unit...

...I don't want to be lacking features b/c I added a remote start and bought the bypass module....

COMMENT AWAY. I'm listening

What do you value more? Life or Image?

"I don't ride, I usually just sit around wearing a tshirt and my icon back protector and talk shit about anyone who does not have a liter bike. That's how you can pick me out of a crowd. I also wear a red tophat."
