I have many things I need to take care of with VA DMV. However I hate standing in long lines and I hate it even more when I reach the front of the line only to be "helped" by somone who can't even spell ABC.

Anyone know of a DMV where this doesn't happen? I'm refering to the DMV in Dale Shitty over by Hooters and Target.

Dont go to the one off of Horner by the WAWA. They suck. I ended up waiting about 4 hrs to register my bike last March. I was the next to last person in the building. Make sure you get to one in time because they close the doors at a certain time. See if you can do any of it over the phone or on the web.

Horner, thats the one.

I can't do this stuff online. The first thing I need to do is get a Virginia License, I still have my Cali License. Then I have three vehicles I need to register. Plus I also have to get a DCJS card, which is state issued card from DMV that I need for work.

They reopened the one in fair oaks mall. During the day its pretty dead in there.

If you go to the dmv site it will tell you the current wait time. Its only 2 minutes at the fair oaks location compared to 30 at tysons and 15 at westfields.

The one up in Leesburg is awesome. I usually get there 15 minutes before they open (8:00) and I'm out of there by 8:15. But might be kinda a haul for you.

Pentagon DMV is pretty easy in, easy out. Of course you need to get access to the Pentagon first....

Ive had some success with the Sterling DMV off of Sterling Blvd.

Best times seem to be mid-week, mid-month right at the beginning of the day. Doors open at 8.

word.

My advice: go as far away from the city as possible.
Front Royal's DMV (yes, they have a DMV) is almost a joke, there are about 5 agents, but there's NeVeR a line.... probably 'cause the population's so small.... but that's irrelevant
