Vegas: Things to see and do - July 21, 2014, 08:18 PM

So a bunch of us are hitting Vegas in a few weeks for my buddy's 30th and I'm trying to figure out what things we should see and do. My girl and I (I'm the only rider in the group) are renting an Electra Glide to do a Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam tour one day on Slider and ToeCutter's recommendation.

What else, besides the generic gambling and strip clubs, should we do or see while we're there?

Skip the gondola ride at the Venetian. Overpriced.
Do at least one Cirque show. I have done most and they are good.
If you want more outdoors, Red Rock canyon is nice.
On a clear day the view from the Stratosphere tower is nice. Big shot ride up top isn't bad either.

As was previously stated do at least one Cirque show.. Mystere is getting long in the tooth, but LOVE is great if you are a Beatles fan at all.. If you do Zumanity, it is pretty damn funny, but DO NOT sit on the floor!

Yeah I stayed at the Mirage for a conference and didn't even touch a slot machine. Did Northshore - Valley of Fire, and Death Valley the next day.

Perfect time of year to go see the hottest, driest place in North America if that's your thing

I actually wanted to do a Cirque show but I'm told they sell out way in advance. I'll see if I can track some down.

Rob, that dune buggy tour looks awesome! Gonna see if we can work this in.

Hao, what's wrong with the blackjack tables? Except that I always lose all my winnings there.

Rail, I know the heat is gonna suck. Why couldn't he be born in September/October?
