Vehicle(Motorcycle) title related question? - September 23, 2016, 05:48 PM

As the title suggests, have a question regarding about the title.

Any motorcycle with a clean/clear title but has been stolen and recovered, would it affect anything on the title?

So if a vehicle has an out of state title(not VA but clean and clear) and it's stolen and recovered and I acquire it, would I be running into any difficulty at VA DMV?

Any input or insight would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks very much

Shouldn't affect the title at all, as long as the vehicle wasn't totaled.

While a vehicle is stolen, it reflects on the title search. Once it's recovered, that goes away.

Thanks, how can I know if vehicle was totaled? Because there's a possibility since it was stolen maybe it was totaled by the insurance company , or no?

Thanks for the help
