Verizon cell network down? - November 21, 2017, 12:42 PM

Cellular network not available is the message I get if I try to make a call.

Any body else out there with Verizon? Any problems right now?

Huh . . . who knew?

Apparently SIM cards can go bad for no reason and with no warning.

.
I've had that happen to me back in the mid-00's. Nokia. SIM card when they were still the size of postage stamps went bad for no reason.

But I thought Verizon was a CDMA network? No sim card needed to talk to the network.

The SIM card still has all your subscriber info. You can't authenticate to VZN network without it.

SIM = subscriber identity module
