Virgin America Airlines - July 28, 2009, 11:58 AM

I do a lot of traveling for work and seem to always fly United, Delta, American Airlines and Northwest so for a change of pace I tried out Virgin America on my recent trip to San Fran.

All I can say is WOW! Great service...good food and plenty of movies to watch on your own tv. Another plus was there was plenty of shoulder room for me.

Anyone else use them before?

They actually saved me $400 compared to other companies and they allow your first bag free and the second is only $15 with no weight limit.

I flew them to San Fran a few times Nice airline. You can use the screen in fornt of you to order a soda/water/drink at any time which is nice on a cross country flight....and then walah...waitress brings your drink Very cool lighting too throughout the night.

I flew Virgin America when I was flying out to Seattle to climb Mt. Rainier... I was definitely impressed with the airline. The messaging system built into each seat is cool too... I suppose it could be useful if you wanted to talk to the hottie in 34C

I found it interesting each plane has its own name.

you must have gotten the "main cabin" = 1st class. It's now $15 for the first bag but they do have a 70lb limit unlike 50 the other airlines have. Plus the mood lighting, leg room and all that other stuff.

i like them and Jet Blue.

I love VAA. They have google maps w/ your plane marked on them at every seat so you can look out the window and figure out what you're looking at. Plus they have the purple lighting effects and piped-in new age music for setting the mood when you're lucky enough to be seated next to a hot chick (which btw never happens for me ).
