Gov. Bob McDonnell signs controversial pre-abortion ultrasound bill
Some of the laws were the focus of intense debate during the last legislative session. In Virginia, a law HB 462, requires women to undergo ultrasounds before getting an abortion.

Another law repeals the one-gun-per-month purchasing rule while another explains exactly who is responsible for reporting sex abuse. The law was inspired by the Penn State scandal.

In Maryland, a law now allows Prince George’s County to operate at least one school on a year-round schedule.

The one I've been waiting for. HB 300 / SB 354: Provides $200 grants to registered beekeepers for every new hive.

ALL MY HEROES ARE RUSSIAN...GO CAPS!

Well you see, Norm, it’s like this…A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.-Cliff Claven

I've been stressed out about not having enough laws. Thank goodness there are more laws now. Still not enough laws, but at least we have more laws and not fewer laws, like before, when we were governed by fewer laws. We didn't have enough laws back then, and those were dark days. Now there is light on the horizon because we have more laws. Not too bright a light, just a little bit. Too much would be against the law. Too little is now against the law so that's why we have some but not too much. Buckle this, it's the law.
