Clarendon (orange line west) is nice. I took some other stops and there wasn't much going on. What other stops should I go to, just to walk around and hang out?

I'd like to but....

Got quoted $35 for the ride from Dunn-Loring to 1040 Elden. $70 round trip. Can't stay out too late either, because I'd have to get back to the metro before last ride. I'm going to pass...

If you're not opposed to going into the District, I like to Orange --> Red line to Dupont Circle and get bubbletea at Teaism on R Street.

Sounds good. I'll take a look around, for sure.

Someone mentioned Georgetown is a nice place to hang out also...

Capitol Hill in the District is fun around dinner time when all the Capitol Hill Hotties are running around. Eastern Market on the weekends (daylight hours) is fun and 8th street by the Navy Yard is a decent place to chill.
Get off the Orange/Blue line at Capitol South stop, walk a block North to Independence Ave and take a right and just keep walking and follow the crowd.
If you like old buildings and little stores rent a zip car and drive South to Fredericksburg, VA and wonder around downtown.
or you can virtually walk down downtown freddy on google maps by clicking here

I realize it's too late for this now, but you metro to West Falls Church then catch the 950, 951, 980, or 981 Fairfax Connector bus which will get you to the Herndon-Monroe Park & Ride and a couple of other points. http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/connector/ for routes and schedules.

Thanks for the tip. Good to know, for next time perhaps.
