What company do you work for? I've got a friend thats used Vonage since its beginning. It used to be god awful and its gotten better...but is still kinda shitty. I've used Skype from time to time in my DC office to talk with people in my London and Sao Paulo offices. I'll be implementing a hybrid setup or pure IPT in DC later this year.

I'm pretty sure Rob (ClemsonJeeper) has VoIP...PM him, I'm sure he can tell you the ins and outs of it.

I have it at the crib... Vonage. No problems with it really... Only issue so far is when the internet goes out - no telephone either. Also, every once and a blue moon the actual phone modem will get wacky and need to be reset.... Doesn't happen very often at all though. For the price ($27) and the all the features (basically the same as most cell phones + call forwarding) I'd definately recommend it...

I have........ no bike.

Yeah I have Vonage.. 500 minutes for 15$ a month.. can't beat it.. works fine with Fax and PVRs that have to dial in for Dish networks. Call quality is fine for me... only thing is the internet deal - if it goes down obviously phone goes down too... but whatever.

Either way still much better than paying 60$ a month for Verizon land line.

Yeah I got on Vonage when there was no competition.. I'm sure there are better deals out there now that the market is opened up. IMHO not worth the hassle of switching and changing my number again for 60$ a year savings. Thanks tho!

I now use comcast and it basically cut my phone charges in half. Don't know if the voice is actually going via IP. The savings will prompt me to spend more on needless motorcycle stuff.

lots of people are starting to get screwed as ISPs enforce QoS restrictions on VoIP to minimize its adoption.

But I appreciate you trying to sell it on here.
