This is why Walmart grosses more than $1 Billion EVERY DAY! They adapt to anything. Apparently they are buying up a shit ton of real estate right now and to compete with them, the owner of Gold's Gym is doing the same. He put $700 million into new real estate this year lol. These fackers have more money than they know what to do with!

^^^This was the one weakness Wal-Mart had previously, that made KMart more valuable from a fundamental investment strategy.
They owned their real estate versus Wal-Mart's old strategy of leasing.
When KMart filed for bankruptcy and went to auction, nearly everyone looked at the value of the business itself and put in their bids. One investor saw the real asset - the value of real estate. He could give two shits less about the retail business; he only wanted the land.
Eddie Lampert ran to the bank on that one.
