Washington Auto Show - January 26, 2008, 07:24 PM

Okay I was kind of expecting something more like Detroit's Auto Show. But it wasn't
Am i the only one disappointed after paying to look at the 2008 models that I could've just looked at in the dealership with less hassle of kids and stupid people?

Same observation, I have been to Detroit Auto Show and the DC Show does not even come close. I will be in Detroit next year for sure.

Seeing this makes me glad I didn't go today, I was contemplating going tomorrow but I don't think that I will now.

Does Sonday come after Sunday? I didn't know there was 8 days in a special week in January...Anyhow, auto shows suck - go to the Baltimore Aquarium, better use for your money.

I was dissappointed as well. There were a few concepts there, but aside from that, same as the showroom in your local dealer. I'm glad I didn't have to pay to get in.
I seem to remember the older shows having more up and coming models on the floor. That's where I first saw the challenger concept car years ago. This year, Blaaaah.
Maybe they should have called it the DC Floor Model Expo!

And I don't recall seeing Austin Martin, but when I went down to the second floor I did more of a quick sweep and left.

I'm surprised you bothered taking pics, Dan. I think I took a total of 4 pics:
Saab concept car, t-top Jeep concept, Viper, and some little blue thing with a turbo and lots of carbon fiber. The rest weren't worth it.
I guess I'm glad I went though, we did get to watch people get whiplash while driving on the Jeep course.

little blue thing = K1 Attack kit car....belongs to a guy who i'm pretty sure lives up in the Rockville area (I've seen him come out to the meets before).

And the graffiti suzuki was done by my ex's brother's friend

and the 350z cars were Funktion auto's cars who tune RRT's car's hence why that group of cars were together, and I have ties with RRT.

It's funny you knew what little blue car I was talking about!
I mean, yeah, there were some cool things there, but overall not worth the trip to DC.
I had more fun with Sidearm at the car show at Redskins park.
