I mean you give them a scholarship and a stick and allow them to hit people with it. How can we trust sending our kids to college when lacrosse players are allowed to go there also.

Wait a minute, I think I am seeing a trend here. College must be bad, it is full of murders.

I thought I was supposed to be unstable. From reading this forum, all cops are unstable, right?

Just showing the absurdity of it all. I mean get real. A cop does something to you, then by all means bitch about it. But since cops have tens of thousands of uneventful interactions a day with the public, to show the few that are newsworthy in a bad way and trash the profession is absurd. Gross generalization never works in a debate.

I could do this all night, if I did not have to go to work, and systematically trash every single profession out there. It is easier to trash LE and military as anytime they fuck up, there profession is listed. It is rare that clerical workers job is listed when they get arrested. Google murder, shoot, stab or whatever, you will find plenty of articles listing that so and so from such and such place did "X" to whomever and no occupation listed. So it is certainly easier, and more newsworthy (rightly so) when a cop does something bad. That does not mean that everyone should be jumping on the bandwagon to trash them unjustly. Got evidence? Go ahead. If not, STFU.

The difference here, GoGoGadget... you don't see lacrosse players defending the murderers, just because they're fellow lacrosse players.

Deport the white college lacrosse players. They are all a danger to society.

Tax lacrosse too.

orly?

cop bashers, everything within guidelines, you don't understand because you're not a cop, all cops are heroes as soon as they put their uniform on, if it's not on video it doesn't count, etc etc

If you were able to actually say that, like many professions, LEO's have aholes in their ranks as well - you would come across much more grounded in real life. Yet you chose to take every remark personally and ultimately retort with personal attacks and idiotic insults. You fail to see that your dogmatic defense of everything blue is fallacious and is perceived as yet another covering cop. Your stance that every LEO that goes to work every day is a hero regardless of their behavior does not jive with the elevated responsibilities given to them by society and thus the accompanying associated higher standard they are held to. Post all you want about murders, shooting, stabbings etc in all types of professions - you have shown nothing about abuse of power, harassment or negative egocentric trends in these other professions. Plumbers and lacrosse players are not commonly regarded as public heroes each and every day they go to work. Firemen and paramedics are not know to have rogue members who go around abusing their professional powers and harass the public they serve. Your posts do not show any of this - at all.

You miss the point that the majority of people here are not 'cop bashers' or haters. Most do not bash the profession as a whole (that means 'all cops are bad' posts). Most have been about one officer's inappropriate reaction/use of force/etc. Yet you take these singular events and see them as generalizations - something you yourself in this very thread stated 'never works in a debate'.

Step back, take a deep breath and stop coming off all psychotic. Realize that news items about bad police behavior can only contribute to cleansing and improving the force. Stop making all of it personal and stop resorting to personal attacks - it really should be beneath you. Understand that most here view the vast majority of leo's as a good thing - yourself included and accept that no one is perfect but if you wear that badge, you will be held accountable by the public. That, or open your chakra's a bit more and enjoy the flow and strength of light energy.

Normally I would charge people for this stuff, but this one is on the house for all your service to society. Stay away from the shiny new white jacket with the funny sleeves.

I never posted in the hero thread that the cop was a hero. I never defended the PG cops going at the student. Etc etc. Not going to go on and on. You believe what you want. Perception is reality.

Sorry you missed the point.

I'll see your 'Perception is reality' cliche and raise you an 'Ignorance is bliss'.

If you meant fallacious, as you said..perception is reality.

Keep feeding the perception, too bad you took away what you did.
