Wedding/Reception halls? - April 19, 2011, 11:51 AM

Anyone know anyone in the business or know of a good location? Looking for something nice with a reasonable price. Would prefer Md, but for a good price would consider NoVa as well.

And if you know ahead of time, we would need a place that would allow outside catering.

Need to seat about 130-150 people.

thanks

My brother had his reception at The Waterford. There's a couple locations around this area. I don't know the pricing, but it was very nice.

Oxon Hill Manor.

If you need a caterer bid PM me. I am friends with the owner of RSVP catering.

Depends on what "nice" and "reasonable" means to you. Its tough without knowing your floor/ceiling for the event.

I appreciate the suggestion. But I think she wants an indoor wedding.

for comparison:

Martin's Caterers - Baltimore, Washington DC area Catering

this is the place I'm leaning towards right now, and they have the date open as well. I liked it b/c we didn't have to do much of anything in terms of prep or clean up.

The lady quoted me a ballpark of $66/person (no alcohol).

shit i misunderstood what you meant by "outside catering" lol. i get it now. if you want indoors, we actually had ours at glenview mansion in rockville. it's a much different setting. party atmosphere (people seated wherever they want throughout the house) vs. assigned seated tables. a lot more casual of a reception, and probably not for everyone in terms of a wedding.
