Well, it's that time of year again, and I've been dragged into it... - July 12, 2006, 03:57 PM

Fantasy Football... I have first round draft pick for my league, and the draft is sometime in early August.
I was in a FF league a few years ago and did okay, but i'd like to do better this year...

Any thoughts/suggestions on drafting strategy or who I should pick up?

The order for my pick is 1st, then 21st, so it's pretty important that i make a good decision...

quiet up johnny... when it comes to football, i've become pretty ignorant as of the past few years... Motorcycle racing FAR outweighs sunday football on my priority list... AND I'm a Cleveland Browns fan, so it's been a pretty rough decade for us...

I always start these things with a little ESPN/Yahoo/whatever other fantasy draft lists you can find and their ranks in players. Most leagues score differently so typically you are gong to receive points from running backs, QB's, receivers, kickers and a defense.

I think the RB's are the most importnant scoring positions, so start with the top RB's and move with the quality players that are availible from there. You can always gamble on some of the rookies too if you pay attn to college football, say Reggie Bush etc. Cadillac payed off for me at the beginning of last season and I won my league a few years ago with Portis as a rookie..

Just do some reading on the current top rated picks and make your best guess bro. It's all in fun. You got prime position for this draft so make it count brotha!!
