when you are having sex, smoking, drinking, graduate from high school. If you are doing any of what I mentioned, you should be responsible for yourself.

Summary: 18 year old cheerleader goes on trip to Hawaii for an event. Goes to room, gets some booze in her and falls off the balcony. Her parents sue the chaperone and WIN $690k. It says future school trips are in trouble because no one will volunteer to supervise.

Color commentary: Unless those parent gave her the booze this is BS. The article is lacking a lot of dirty details but within the given information of the story it's digusting.

Some people never do. Look at the welfare society in the South. Two races both on the bottom tier of the economic food chain, both blaming the other for their problems.

Are the chaperones supposed to stay in the room with the students? I wouldnt think so. You cant control what goes on behind a closed door. That lawsuit is BS.

I hate to be cynical, but this is modern-day America. In our litigious society, there is no such thing as being responsible for one's self. There's always someone to blame and money to be made. We're entitled to that (note the sarcasm).

That just pisses me off. If you're worred about your kid's supervision on a trip... get off your ass and go with them on the trip.

Or maybe, just maybe, teach your kids not to f*ck up instead of trying to be their friend.

*edit* It's really sad the girl died, and most of us have done the same things that lead to her death, but judging by her parents' reaction to this, I'll hazard a guess at how she was raised.
