What would you do?... Vote here! - December 13, 2007, 01:37 PM

Yeah Yeah, I know. I am the first one to say I hate it when people post up stupid links to watch stuff instead of the story, but I think it is the only way to make this work. So...

Watch this story and then vote and post up your theory on this:

Finders Keepers or Dirty Rotten Scoundrel?

That is a greedy SOB. Take the 10% and be happy. Thats 18k more than you had at the beging of the day. Or it could be close to 50k.

Its her house she bought the house that means everything in the house belongs to her.

Why not split it? Like the article says, neither earned the money. Sorry state of affairs today. There are a bunch of greedy people running around. Besides what the face value of the money is, it is significantly higher due to it's age and type.

R.I.P. Eric. You were truly like a younger brother to me. May you live on in all those you helped and reached out to help. You are truly missed!

tfinch: well, actually, if he did, that's fine cause it's in the pockets!

I didn't get what the contractor is seeking -- does he want 10% -- if so, give it to him. Hell, give him 25%.

Wait until the org. owners kin come calling -- it'll get ugly. My great uncle would hide money in the walls of his house. When he died, his sons couldn't wait to get to the house with their demolition tools. They found $126,000 hidden all over the place.

its not about 'earning' the money, its about owning it. She bought the house, property...she owns the asset and everything attached to it. Its hers..take the 10% and shut yer yap...

the contractor shoulda taken 10% and been happy about it.. now he's suing and probably wont get a dime.

The lady is damn lucky, and didn't really earn it, but it's still her house, her walls, her money.

True. Any decent judge will find in the owners favor. What an idiot. He will probably get nothing if it goes to court.

The house was sold to the current owner as is, so the next of kin have no claim.

But the Contractor is an azz, it would be like comming to my house and saying hey I found a motorcycle, finders keepers.

Kiss my azz and get off my property. Aside from that possesion is 9/10th.

Give the guy the 10% and tell him not to be an azz.

Although I feel it's her house and she owns everything inside; I would have given him half or split it 60/40.

It's 100% hers, 0% his. Like others said, it was on her property therefore it's hers. Sounds like an open and shut case.
