What's everyone doing with their tax refunds? - February 19, 2013, 04:14 PM

Anyone go anything interesting that they are about to buy?

I think I'm going to get Lasik done on my eyes, as wearing glasses underneath a helmet is a PIA, esp when you wear a mask in cold weather.
Anyone have experience with Lasik? Recommendations?

My first tax refund in years as well.. the costs for the move up to NY were all tax deductible, so I'm getting a nice chunk back. Using it to pay off some outstanding shit, then putting the rest away for now.

I can't claim child credit because he doesn't live with me... fucking horseshit IRS rules.

I'm getting a very small amount back thanks to digging through piles of receipts and figuring out every possible thing i could legally deduct.... this is an improvement from the previous situation of owing a fuckload.

I will put the small amount i'm getting onto some CC debt.

Getting a tax refund means you gave the government an interest-free loan last year. I'll be getting one, but I wish I wasn't.
