That depends on how you plan to use it. If you are a simple guy who just has one personal phone and don't care about people calling you at work. Then perhaps it isn't worth it. However, if you have have all sorts of phones numbers associated with you (home, work, cell, pager, etc) it can be very beneficial as you can give out one number and have google voice redirect the calls as you'd like.

Most of my friends who have it, seem to love it.

Its super awesome. I only have 1 line and still use it. I just give that # out to everyone now. It'll screen all calls, gives free SMS, and works great so far

I do attach my office line to it as well.
