The end of this vid is crazy!

No camera tricks. This technology is based on electric suspension...no gas...no oil...no air...just electric.

WOW!

I'm here at a Patent Trial in DE and a lot of our expert witness for our team are Switz and German Mechanical and Electrical engineers and they told me about this...so I had to check it out. The car is literally able to jump over obstacles (Nothing much higher than it already did though) but the suspension is controlled by a computer that is adaptive/self thinking to the environment.

This is suppose to make it into MotoGp in the next couple of years. Then production motorcycles. The rear shock will be the first component and the easiest. Then it will be the forks immediately there after. The typical shock internals will remain the same. Whereas the external spring will be gone. The oil in the shock itself will have some sort of metallic and conductive powder inside that can be munipulated with electric current. So what you will have is an electrically contolled suspension. The electric current is meant to change the viscosity of the oil and thus change the suspension travel and action.

kindof...but not really
MR shocks are currently in production...the vette has them (and they still have springs). The bose technology has no fluid, its uses what is basically a very fast, linear motor.

You can see schematics of the Bose system on their website.

Hopefully this will make it to Motogp...they need somewhere to test it, and active suspensions have been banned in the 4-wheel world (F1 especially) since the 80's.
