Where can I go to do some loud grinding on my car? - December 5, 2011, 02:10 PM

I have these rusty bumper bolts on my Torino that I need to grind down in order to install my new-to-me chrome bumpers, and I cannot do it in my Town House because it's obviously a loud job and neighbors would kill me. Got any suggestion on where I can go and be "noisy" but still have access to electricity? I know there WAS a place where you could rent a garage for DYI work in Sterling, but apparently it's gone now... Suggestions?

I would start looking for a new Town House to live in. Tell the neighbors to deal with it. As long as you are not doing it to early or late in the day I wouldn't worry about it.

Post this picture in front of your garage while doing it between 6am and 10pm.

Neighbors complain? Point at the sign and keep grinding.

I can do that? LOL I thought there were limits to the amount of noise you can do in a residential area, that's how it goes in Italy at least!

I could not give less of a fuck about my neighbors, I just don't want to be on the wrong side of the law!

As long as you're not doing it at 7am or 9pm, then your neighbors can suck it up for a day.

Man, f yo neighbors. This is the United States of Murrach! Land of Rock N Roll and Mexicans with leafblowers in front of your neighbors house at 7am.

Just wait till 10am when most people are at work and go to work on those bad boys.

“Any man who tries to be good all the time is bound to come to ruin among the great number who are not good. Hence a Prince who wants to keep his authority must learn how not to be good, and use that knowledge, or refrain from using it, as necessity requires”.
