While you were riding.... - October 2, 2006, 05:37 AM

Coach G-Dog and Coach YaoMatt were busy making this happen;

Herndon's 85 Nat'l team played well on both sides of the ball causing a safety in the first quarter of the game. Herndon was able to march the ball down the field with tough inside runs by Totow. Once Herndon was stymied by the hard hitting defense of the Wildcats #53 and 40, Herndon had to resort to outside plays allowing long runs by Burns and Schwartz for major gains.
In the second half, Herndon was held to minimum yards by the Wildcats tough Defense again but a strong armed and patient Goldsby was able to sit in a pocket held up by the O-line to allow M. Keith to convert his first catch of the year into a Touchdown. R. Cooper and Burns were able to hold the speedy Wildcats to minimum outside running yardage while Fisher and Schwartz were able to hold off the marching Wildcats for no score. The D-line was able to shut the Wildcats out but placed a huge scare in the Herndon secondary with nearly completed passes. On Special teams, McAllorum was able to kick the ball deep into Wildcat territory where the Herndon defense was able to hold back the Wildcat offense.
Herndon 85 Nat'l was able to keep their homefield win streak alive with another win, 20-0

Congrats to Coa YaoMatt, his assistance and contributions were key elements in the Hornets win (near the SPOT)

Congrats! Do you guys take them out to celebrate? I remember growing up, coaches would treat us to pizza or something after a big win.
