My boss walked in today and asked if i knew anyone looking for a job.

It was a preliminary question, so that means a position could be created based on the resume.

Heres the specs:

40 - 50K salary.

In short you will be an office bitch.

You will possibly set up pc's, install OS', install software. Tinker on the network, possibly help run two pretty high tech VTC rooms, and do all other sorts of odd office jobs. Maybe purchase new toys, pc's and other things as well.

The job description isnt made yet, but im guessing thats the deal.

If you know how to hook up your TV, cable box, VCR, DVD player and your game system, you have the mental ability to run a VTC Room. Its basicly all wires just connecting the different inputs and outputs.

If you can plug in all the componets of a pc and take them apart, you are good to go.

Dont need a degree i believe. If you have programming experience, or want to do some web programming, i believe you may get the opportunity for that as well..

Based on what ive witnessed in the past, it take a fair amount of time for someone to get hired from this point. I would guess a few months from now. Maybe even this summer.

So, if you fit the bill, and want to learn/do all kinds of odds and ends stuff in the office, then shoot me your resume.

achemery AT mindspring.com <--web crawl safe

Not for sure position, but it doesnt hurt to try.

*edit

Forgot to mention the job is here in my office at Fort Belvoir Virginia

I have a cold and foggy head today. That statement above did not register that you were asking for a job.

Send me your resume and i can hand it over to HR.

Hey Alex,

Any chance that your company would be looking for an experienced Network Engineer/Manager. Have a friend of the family that is looking for something in the DC/Nova area. Or if you know anyone who might be looking for an experienced Network Engineer/Manager, let me know. I don't have his resume yet, but thought I'd check.

Thanks!

Dave

Actually dave.

I am sad to say, my supervisor passed away in his sleep sunday night. He helped run the network, as well as the LOTUS NOTES server.

Soon we will obviously be looking for someone that can assist with network maintenance (NT) and lotus notes domino server help.

If your boy fits that bill then send it my way.

Anyone else that fits that bill send me a resume.. Ill post a new topic also..
