Who on .net has helped you out? - October 2, 2009, 01:42 PM

Since there is another thread just for 5 people I thought it would be nice to thank the others!

I am gonna do just one because I could go on for a while but there is one that stands out!

3 years ago, and 2 days before the wedding day, my main water line broke in the front yard! Well Tori put out a 911 in the shoutbox for people to help fix this. Well 4 people came. Tony, Corbett, Nate and Viv! These people helped me remove a tree and then dig a hole 6 feet deep and 6 feet in diameter. I had just meet them that year and they went way above what most people did to help a friend in need. I was able to repair the leak with 2 others that are not on this board but all these people did a huge favor right before the big day!

I have been helped by way too many on here to list them all. I have tried to pay it forward.

"Riding a race bike is an art - a thing that you do because you feel something inside."

"I don't like being famous - it is like a prison. And driving for Ferrari would make it far worse."

"I race to win. If I am on the bike or in a car it will always be the same."

MrsCastle - No need for explanation there.

DirtyKev - Brake lines, & weight reduction on the track bike. Helping mount the hitch on the Jeep.

RnR - Everyone @ RnR has helped either Sara or I at some point or another. Rick, Rachel, Dodge, Ali.

SVJunkie Jack - Bike stands & tools.

Nate - Borrowing his trailer and words of wisdom.

KEVERS - Numerous times borrowing her trailer & vehicle so I could get some track time.

Clemson - For .NET

Guzz - For Turn Guzz & soon to be, "Club Guzz"

JWZ - For letting me bum gas at the track.

I'm sure there's plenty more, but I'm in Friday mode and drawing a blank.

Agreed - had folks help me get through tough times, support a new business, move, work on bikes and so on. I have honestly met some of the best people I know through here.

+1

But I definetely have to thank 600Killer (Gus) for all of his help, support, and advice. The man has gone out of this way for many people on this board including myself to get their bikes fixed, prepped and to the track or back on the street.

Most of my thanks for the short time I've been on the board is here.
Huge Thanks

There is more thanks to the numerous people including Tori, Guzz, and Denny who have helped me through the difficulties of the past month or so.

Oh, and Dodge, congrats on learning the color today!!!

This community has in many ways restored my faith in humanity.
To see so many people come together to help out so many over the years I have been on this board is just plain amazing.
From taking on new riders, helping people at the track, running over at a minutes notice to lend a hand, to charities, and how this board comes together for a fallen friend/rider!
I must also acknowledge the help that Travis gave me when he loaned me a battery for a track day. I will never forget it!

Thanks.... - October 2, 2009, 02:23 PM

I can't say enough about DIRTYR6

After highsiding my bike in early June and having it stolen and them crashing it a little more he helped me rebuild it for the past couple of weeks into a better bike than it started life. It looks absolutely amazing as some of you who have been by his place have seen it and runs really strong now. He is a top notch guy and can't say enough for his ability and kindness to help me, someone who he had only met once before.

Kev, thanks a million and I'll keep those cards commin' your way!!
