Who wants to go shooting? - November 22, 2006, 03:05 PM

Ok, so I just bought a gun right... and looking around at ranges, it appears that the general rule is that a novice like me should have a more experienced person with them when they go to the range.

So anyone wanna go sometime this weekend? It's gonna drive me crazy having this thing until I've had the chance to shoot it.

I could be coaxed into going to Blue Ridge in Chantilly. When were you thinking of going? What did you get btw?

I was actually hoping to go to blue ridge. I'm flexible, I can go anytime this week/weekend.

I got a Glock 27.

I'd be down for some Sat afternoon shotting at Blue Ridge. I need to break in my new duty weapon. What did you get by the way?

Well one of you guys pick the time since I'm dependent on having a vet around.

I picked up a glock 27. Supposed to be accurate, reliable, decent stopping power, and ultra portable.

Any time after 2 is good with me.

I don't like Glocks personally, because I don't shoot them that well however you can't go wrong with them. The 27 is considered a "baby" Glock due to its size so there should be some recoil but we'll work on it. Let me know.

Misssed the last shooting range gathering, so I'm good to go this time.

DvlsAdvc8 - Get some hearing/eye protection if your looking to getting into it long term. It will save you $$ in the long run.

Check out the gun shops in Manassas. Bernie Conatser owns one. He's a CCS & WERA racer. Great guy and wils man in general. He won't steer you wrong. Heck...I say this even after he tossed my racebike in an endurance race. (First thing he said was "How much do you want to fix it?") Like I said...good guy.

M27 40 cal that is also one of my pistols. You should get the small extender that is added to the bottom of the clip. Helps to control that sucker with hot rounds.
