Who's got the BlackJack II or the LG VU? - March 1, 2009, 06:02 PM

I am trying to decide between these two phones:

Samsung BlackJack II

http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/cell-phone-details/?device=Samsung+BlackJack(TM)+II+-+Black&q_sku=sku1140027

LG VU

Anyone got either of these, how are they?

what type of use will you be giving the phone? do you use email, text, internet? business/personal?

You have a lot more options.

Vu- will not open up documents, texting or typing in general is not as easy since is touch screen on a keypad i.e. the number pad just like a regular phone, you do not get a full keyboard really annoying.

BJII- will open documents, you have to search for your email since is not a push email system where you could just get it on your phone as it hits your invoice. Windows OS is not as stable as it should but not a bad device. However if you are looking for that type of phone you should look into the Samsung Epix basically the same thing as the BJII but touch screen IMO that is easier than the track wheel that the BJII uses.

Since you said it would be nice to open up attachments I would recommend a berry.

windows 6.1 is way better than the older mobile OS version. I pound my phone with Docs and well over 300 emails a day. It's solid.

I didnt like the controls on the BJ2 and after I got my hands on the motoQ I knew I had the right phone for now. I go through at least 2 phones a year. If you can swing it though, the iPhone really is the cat's ass for phones. Only problem is typing you have to look at the phone to type where mine the buttons are easy to memorize. If you have AT&T they have a 30 day return policy and I recommend using it. If you get something and not sure you like it, take it back and swap. It's the only way to know if you have the right phone.

opening docs is a plus but it's not my main concern. camera, texting, e-mail/internet is prob the most important. im gonna head over to an att store and mess around with the phones a lil bit. good to know about the 30 day return policy. thanks for the advice
