ehh. First Year in a long time the Daily Show did not get a nomination.

Show blows now. Thank baby J for last week tonight.

Noah's delivery sucks.

Punching a ticket a bit too early.

Daily Show didn't get a 1st year nomination when Craig Kilburn hosted it.
Daily Show didn't get a 1st year nomination when Jon hosted it.

The entire writing staff and most of its co-stars have moved on. It's going to have to go through a process ... let's see how it plays out after the 2nd and 3rd year.

Perhaps. His delivery still sucks and that is far from debatable.

Yeah he has his moments but overall I think it's the South African accent.

It's the mixed Khoisan / Dutch accent and intonation. Not exactly the best sounding accent in the world.

When you listen to Charlize Theron speak in her natural accent, she drops down 0.042 hot points.

I didn't agree with John Stewart on ideology, but I could admit he is funny.

This guy, surprisingly with the same writers, isn't funny.

Nah see, fans of TDS have to defend Trevor Noah, no matter how boring he is. They do this by blaming his utter ineptitude as a comedian on the writers: "All of Jon Stewart's writers left when he left." However, no matter how it's spun up, Trevor Noah is awful. He's just not funny at all. But I'm biased; I can't stand any of that Comedy Central/Colbert/Young Turks stuff. The intellectual dishonesty is much too frustrating.

Nothing funny about the TYT show except for their hyperbole and immense hypocrisy.

That's more a function of laughing at them though.

If we have to put media outlets in levels of hypocrisy I can think a lot of other networks and hosts that would reside at the top... Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck, Bill O'Reilly, Megyn Kelly to name a few but hey everyone sees what they want

Not all of the same writers, but that is also part of the problem. They can't find Noah's "voice."

When Rod Temperton wrote for Heatwave & Michael Jackson, the outcome was amazing.

When Robert Townsend writes for Eddie Murphy, the outcome is amazing.

When Bernie Taupin writes for Elton John, the outcome is amazing.

When Larry David writes for Jerry Seinfeld, the outcome is amazing.

When Sia writes for Rhianna, the outcome is amazing.

But if you were to mix up the writers with their respective performers, the resulting product would be lackluster until changes and tweaks are made.

Hilarious that you literally just repeated what OSD referenced as the normal defense.

You can keep Glenn Beck, Kelly, and Bill.
