Post Wizards Arenas, Crittenton drew guns on each other - January 2, 2010, 02:58 AM

http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/201...x.html?cnn=yes

"I decided I didn't want the guns in my house and around the kids anymore, so I took them to my lock box at Verizon Center," Arenas told the paper. "Then like a week later, I turned them over to team security and told them to hand them over to the police, because I don't want them anymore. I wouldn't have brought them to D.C. had I known the rules. After my daughter was born, I was just like, 'I don't need these anymore.'"

There is a gun law in DC?
I vote they go back to calling themselves the Bullets, just for effect.

What a dope?

Don't get a safe of teach your children responsible gun ownership and safety when they are old enough. That doesn't make sense.

He should have went through the proper chanels to get rid of it. You would think that making that kind of $ he would have asked some friendly advise on how to do this. Saying that its his second time in trouble w/ the law about guns. In 2003 he got into trouble also, w/ no permit.

Idiot on so many levels.

Too bad they both didn't open fire and rid the world of two idiots.

They should both be banned for life from the NBA. The NBA should have a no-tolerance policy regarding weapons. This sets a terrible example for children.

Plaxico Burress?

IF the government keeps with the setting example of athletes then he should be arrested and given the maximum penalty. Ignorance is not an excuse for these athletes. If he does not receive a punishment, then that is unfair to Plaxico Burress and any other athlete that pleaded ignorance..

Now my question is, where do they spend more time, the range or the court, shooting?

Nah, DC's handguns laws aren't nearly as harsh as NYC's - and they'd have to prove the gun(s) were loaded.
