World of Warcraft Players? - October 16, 2008, 11:30 AM

I know I am going to receive an excessive amount of ridicule about this, but frankly I don't care. I enjoy playing and building up my guy.

Anyone play World of Warcraft? If you do what do you think of the new patch and upcoming expansion release?

List your toons and servers.

Hooligun - Enhancement Shaman - Crushridge - Horde

Your wife must be pissed.

Seriously I hear it all the time, but I really don't care what is said. Just trying to find a few others that play.

Are you kidding? She loves the idea!

It looks like a pretty fun game though. I just don't have the time to play.

Skwidrific - Tauren Druid - Crushridge

im having seroius issues at the moment following this last patch. Ben tried to help me out with my computer, but apparently i've just hit a wall with my hard drive's capacity... i have a 33 gig hard drive with 31 gigs used... the patch needs at least 6.5 gigs available to write into the program...

until i either get a bigger hard drive or figure out what to do to gut my current hard drive im banging my head against a wall...

adrian, how big is your WoW file? mine is taking up approxiamtely 7 gigs with addons... Matt mentioned something about being able to delete some patch something or other after is has installed... know anything about that?

Unless they changed the directory structure since I last played:

After you download patches either through Blizzard downloader or torrent/filefront etc.,

Patches I believed are stored in

{assuming C drive}

c:\World of Warcraft\

You should see all the "Blizzard downloader" executable along with the patches. Delete all the old ones, should free up some space.

Also along with your "add-ons", not sure which compilations your using etc., but some have a "garbage" collector to free up some memory. Mainly focused on RAM usage and not HD space.

Dwight. I know you delete your .wtf when you get a lot of errors.

I got al my new addons yesterady from Curse and I am back in full action once the servers stop lagging.

As far as wow consuming my life . I only play seriously 3 times a week.

Moderation brings longevity.
