The Yacht - June 27, 2007, 09:37 AM

65' Custom Built Motor yacht, staterooms, GPS navigation, twin Supercharged diesels, etc. = $2.5 million

Crane and Rigging complete with faulty turnbuckle = $2,500 per hour

Champagne and Strawberries, dockside, for the excited "soon to be Owners" =$250.00

Watching your dreamboat nose dive into the harbor, accompanied by two Corporate representatives just prior to "inking" the final Paperwork........

Priceless.

This may not be as tragic financially, but I recall seeing a guy launch his brand new Cigarette boat into the lake, attempt to start one of the monster engines, and blow his boat to kingdom come. Apparently he never read the manual and forgot to turn on the engine compartment blowers to evacuate the gas fumes before ignition.

I was across the bay from the incident and heard the The guy was thrown into the water, luckily uninjured, and the boat burned all the way to the water-line. The aftermath, as displayed at a local marina, was a 38' charred piece of fiberglass. I hope he had the sense to insure it before the maiden voyage.

Two things....

Anyone notice the guy ON the stern deck of the yacht as it pitches into the drink? There's a faint circle around him. That must have been hell of a ride.

I saw somtehing similar with a prefab house a few years ago in CT. As the crane was loading the one section of the house into place, the dirt under one of the the crane legs gave way and the crane came down...splitting the whole house in two. Sucks to be the homeowners.

HAHAHA, yeah I put that circle around him. Doesnt show up as well when you attach the pics as I did. I just wonder which way he flew when that stern (thats the back of a boat right?) came crashing down into the water!
