Isn't it great when you go out with a girl you haven't seen in awhile, and the first thing she says when she sees you is "Wow, you're really muscle-y now. *touch, poke* You look really good"

I love this shit. Big changes between the way I looked last year and this year, and it's an awesome feeling when people notice. I should've done this years ago.

This is your ego: :fro:
This is your ego trying to get thru a door:

hahahahahaha, I'm not that cocky. Yet.

Oh yeah, Stiffed rocks. The band, perverts.

When I was 17 or so I started weight training. I did it out of boredom. I had lost my license and lived in the sticks. You do the math. After about a 2 years, I went from 160lbs to 195 at my largest. I was fairly lean, put on another 5-10 lbs of big macs and looked somewhat presentable. I felt as strong as an ox. I stayed somewhat trim stacking concrete at a brick yard from 19 to 23 and hovered around the 210 mark
Here I am, 6 years later @ 230. Most of my upstairs has gone downstairs. hehehe. I would like to thank my career in IT and general laziness for this terrific transformation I have undergone! I get the occaisonal "you look so cuddly". WTF is that? lol... Chicks don't want to bang Smokey the Bear. That's just something they say to nice fat guys and then rip em up when they get back to their friends

Congrats on the positive changes bro.........I can relate......I was getting way to heavy. At the first of this year I was crunching the scale at 260. And believe me it wasn't lean muscle mass. Last I got on a scale I was 225.......Just from getting off my ass and watching my diet I dropped 35lbs. And they say it can't be done......

And I bet the ego is not the only thing to get stroked in your world.....

Sorry but you made that one to easy dude!!!!!!!

It deffinately is a good feeling! Congrats on the accomplishment, Mod. I've been doing Weight Watchers for the past seven months and I've lost 35lbs. I haven't worn this size dress since high school! Almost every day someone in the office tells me how nice I look. It does wonders for the ego! Not to mention the sex drive!

Plus, don't you gain 1HP for every 7lbs you drop off the bike (or the rider). :burnout:

I get poked too. The problem is it is people poking me in the tummy trying to get me to do that Pillsbury Doughboy giggle.

You've made some great changes since I last saw you Mary. Very impressive. And it does do wonders for the ego.

Same thing happened to me Scot, IT messed me up. I never got fat, but I was pathetically out of shape and had a little gut. Lost 20 lbs last year due to plain not eating. Wasn't trying to lose weight, just didn't feel like eating because of what was going on in my life. Noticed the change when I went to the beach and decided I might as well continue, put my gym membership to use, and look like I've always wanted to look.

Next year's going to be even better. I did a bad job of bulking over the winter because I have a fat phobia now. lol But I still made a lot of gains. Does wonders for your self confidence.
