3/27 Lunchtime Pazzo install help - March 26, 2009, 03:36 PM

so my Pazzo's will be in today as they are "out for delivery" right now and since it's raining - I very well can't ride to someone for help....but I do have a garage to work in, but I won't be home tonight.

Do they come with directions? Do I need brake fluid or anything? I mostly don't want to go messing up my clutch cable or spewing brake fluid everywhere, if that's even a possibility.

Anyone to lend a hand? I can bring tools and everything that is required and maybe by you lunch if you don't eat a lot

thanks. work in Tysons...live in Manassas....available anytime tomorrow.

Yo. I could give you a hand. Tomorrow would be out, but I could do Saturday. PM sent too. Oh, and best way to get me is by cell from the Wrench Day email.

Simple, Derek. If you take your tools with you to work tomorrow, I may be able to walk over again and give you a hand. It's much easier than you think.

Let me know.

I could help out, but not sure when I'm going to get back in town. I just installed them on my R1 and like another poster said, it's really easy. If I can do it ... It's actually pretty straight forward, the toughest part is getting the top screw out on the clutch side if it's smooth on top and doesn't have a flathead notch. The brake side is real easy, but one thing I would recommend is turning the whole clutch side assembly up by loosening the (10mm I think) nut that keeps it tight on the clip-on. This will give you enough room to reach the nut holding the clutch lever from the bottom, and the cables should be out of the way. Just slowly remove the existing lever and grab onto the end of the clutch cable. It'll slide into the Pazzo real nice. I think I actually spent more time adjusting the clutch after, than the install itself. Good luck!
