Any carb tuning geniuses in Baltimore/Timonium? - October 18, 2014, 10:02 AM

I need help. I have a 96 bandit 600 which has a k&n filter, slip on exhaust and a jet kit. I have tried almost all summer to get it to run well, but I just can't seem to figure it out. If anyone in the Baltimore /Timonium area could help I'd be really appreciative.

Thanks in advance,
Mike

Panel filter or pod filters? I know a lot about bandits.

I've never been able to tune a bandit with a k&n panel filter. I would get a stock paper panel filter and go from there. Every bandit I have used a panel filter with has a huge flat spot around 3000 rpms.

That's basically what I'm experiencing. I'll try that and report back.

Also, if there is an additional hole cut in the air box, seal it. Just use the oem hole with rubber snorkel. Bandits never really had issues getting enough air. They were jetted so lean from the factory, you only need to jet for fuel.
