Battery Advice - October 29, 2017, 11:39 AM

Think my bike's battery is toast, have to take it for testing.

But in the meantime, I am searching for a battery and there are a million options out there. Would rather not spend too much.

I am leaning towards:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Yuasa-YUAM6...tU4HCj&vxp=mtr

Or Interstate or

https://www.batteriesplus.com/batter...r1/1000cc/2000

But would definitely appreciate an input and advice if there are any cheaper ones and anyone has any experience with them?

Thanks very much for any advice.

I've got a used Yuasa YTX-14-BS. It's been sitting for a while but worked last time it was hooked up.

If you're interested, I'll put it on the tender and sell it for $20.

I've had very good luck with the batteries from walmart, including using a 5BS in my 08 cbr1krr (which takes a 7BS, the two batteries are the same size but the 7 puts out more juice).

Thank you, I am not sure if it's going to work because of dimensions? Ytx14 seems to be bit bigger?

Thanks, was wondering if you used ever start and did you have more than 1-2 years out of it? If so, I can try to find something with similar dimensions from Walmart to see if it's cheaper? Thanks again.

Im a lazy f*ck, I measure the dimensions of my battery and then go to walmart and find one that is similar in size. Been doing it since the beginning, looking up the specific battery was always a $80 thing, $30 at wally world, as long as its 12V and the cold cranking amps are close I dont see a reason to pay more.

Thanks, I appreciate your offer.

Will let you know about it.

I'll try Walmart to see if I have any luck in terms of size.
