hey....find a bigger hill....lol.

PS if it won't push start then something else may be going on?

put it in second. Ease off the clutch, gas it...let the bike run...

and make sure you do all of this with the ignition turned on.

if you love your bike you would walk it to a hill.....

kinda dangerous but you could run along side of it then hop on and let out the clutch....watch your legs on the pegs though...

don't try to jump it on a car. Some people do and are successful. Others no so much....

good luck.

Won't start if fuel injected by push-starting.
Needs voltage for the fuel pump.

That's probably why it won't push start, if the battery is really really dead, you need more juice to run the pump, injectors, and coil, than you're going to get from a push start. Unless you can find a nice long hill to get the generator spinned up for several seconds to power everything up.

That said, if you want to take a trip to Herndon I've got a charger you can borrow.

Or, you can jump your bike using a 2nd battery or a car, just don't have the car running. There should be enough juice in a car battery to jump your bike without the car running.

ALL MY HEROES ARE RUSSIAN...GO CAPS!

Well you see, Norm, itís like thisÖA herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Now, as we know, excessive intake of alcohol kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. And that, Norm, is why you always feel smarter after a few beers.-Cliff Claven

You're good, or the battery wasn't completely dead. Starting requires hundres of amps, the other stuff only needs maybe 20 amps total. So if you have enough battery left to give you 20 amps for the other stuff, it won't start on it's own, but you can push start it.
